New York’s mass-transit system will start to shut down at noon Saturday, but people reliant on the city’s subways, buses and commuter trains should start moving sooner, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chairman Jay Walder said.
“Please do not wait for the last train,” Walder said. “There is simply not enough capacity.”Buses will likely run a little bit past noon to help with evacuations, Walder said. Some routes might also be altered slightly to take people to shelters. for more information click above video
